September 17, 2029: Interning in Domestic Violence Law

 Dear Diary,

My internship with the State Attorney's Office, where I will be focusing on domestic abuse cases, began today. It exceeded my expectations and lived up to my expectations. Today, I attended a court where the prosecutor presented evidence against a guy who had been mistreating his wife for many years. It seemed as though I was witnessing the precise profession I had always desired in action, the way she made the case and spoke on behalf of the victim. In just a few months, I've learned a great deal about the legal system, and it's clear that this is my calling. One day, I hope to appear in that courtroom and speak for people who are unable to speak for themselves.
